Busy Scissors was built from decades of hands-on experience in the professional hairdressing industry.
The journey began in 1981, followed by more than 30 years representing leading salon brands including Joico and Fudge. Throughout that time, strong relationships were built with stylists across New Zealand, along with a deep understanding of the tools professionals rely on every day.
While based in Auckland, an opportunity arose to work closely with a scissor maker, learning the importance of ergonomics in hairdressing scissors and how proper design impacts comfort, control, and performance behind the chair.
After years of working with companies selling their own branded scissors, Busy Scissors was created with a different approach offering carefully selected scissors based purely on quality, reliability, and value.
Our range focuses on premium Japanese steel, precision craftsmanship, and modern features including advanced tension systems and ball-bearing technology. The goal is simple: provide professional-grade scissors that perform exceptionally without the inflated price tag.
